1st – Austin Curry | 2nd – Ryan Searing | 3rd – Jacob Terhune

Our 2nd Annual Action Sports and Music Festival went off yesterday on a closed off 4th street.  The day started off with false promises from the many little radar screens in everyone’s hands.  The swirling random dumping of rain delayed us as we dried the courses over and over only once dried to have it rain again, and again.

The BMX Demos were canceled due to safety concerns with the wet ramps and street that just would not seem to dry.  However the Skateboard contest was able to get all 16 of our entrants in for 2, 45 second runs.  The winner for the second year in a row is Mr. Austin Curry won over the judges with his smooth style on his home course.  Everyone came out and skated very well. We were all pleased with the amount of troopers we have in our scene that stuck it out with all of us through-out the standard crappy mid-western day.

We want to thank JP Painting, Strahm Building Solutions, Summit City Bicycles and Fitness, 96.3XKE, HOT107.9, Living Fort Wayne, The Rib Room, Nicks Martini and Wine Bar, Creature Skateboards, Independent Trucks, and Dilemma Skateboard for stepping up to help out with this event.

We did not reach our goal of $10,000 during this event but we did make progress in the amount of $4,500 to help offset some of the bills that pile up on my desk!  We plan to open back up with a brand new design early next month and we hope to see you all out this winter at the Fort Wayne Indoor!
