The Fort Wayne Indoor celebrates 5 years in our community providing a safe and friendly environment for anyone to pursue their Action Sports dreams.

The Fort Wayne Indoors Annual Block Party seeks to provide an alternative revenue stream for FWI through sponsorships and ticket sales to fund the park through the summer months. We also seek to use The Fort Wayne Indoors Annual Block Party to raise awareness of the Fort Wayne Indoors mission and purpose among potential corporate sponsors to help fund the park. The Fort Wayne Indoor is supporting the youth of Fort Wayne’s Skateboarding, BMX, Bicycles, Roller Skates, Scooters, and all wheeled sports in our community and we need your help!

In the fall of 2014, LivingFortWayne.com set out to find or create a signature event to raise awareness for its website and to further its mission to promote all that is great about living, working and playing in Fort Wayne. During that time, it was a happy coincidence that Ryan Krueckeberg published a piece on an indoor Skate and BMX park, the Fort Wayne Indoor. This piece not only highlighted the awesomeness of the Fort Wayne Indoor and its unique opportunity for Fort Wayne’s skate and bike community, it also discussed the future vision of Rich Hoppe and Dan Butler, outlining their desire to host an extreme sports and music festival here in Fort Wayne.

In July of 2015, we brought the 1st ever Action Sports and Music Festival to Fort Wayne on Calhoun Street near the Oyster Bar & CS3’s.  The festival was a success and the local media embraced the event with coverage from several outlets.

This year for the 4th annual festival, we have contracted Wonder Wheels BMX Stunt Team to perform a high energy BMX Freestyle Show.  We have also constructed wooden obstacles for a Skateboard Street & a BMX Street Contest with prizes for both contests.  The event will include an Interactive Art display with 4 artists, and a sorta musical chair demonstration on easels provided by Northside Art Galleries. Musical entertainment by friends of the Skatepark, DJ Dap One will be spinning beats through-out the afternoon..

The Live art will be auctioned off to help benefit the Fort Wayne Indoor,  A 50/50 Raffle will also take place.through-out the afternoon. The Heath Food Shoppe of Fort Wayne will be on hand to spread the good word of eating healthy while providing guests with delicious and healthy foods.  A vendor area will be available for local skate and bike shops, kid’s activities, and other vendors to be included in the fun.

Both a BMX & Skateboard Street Contests will take place with prizes and good times on the line in a parking lot style contest with obstacles that we have constructed.
